The Living Room

Having walked for more than an hour through a dense forest on the outskirts of the city, you finally come upon a wooden house resting firmly in a clearing in-between the trees. You had followed a map you found online, in search of the mysterious band known as The X-Structure. You now stood in front of a large wooden cabin. The forest is peaceful around you, birds going happily about. You near the house and give a sturdy knock on door. The door creaks open and you are welcomed by an old man with a thick flowing beard. After explaining your reason for being there he beckons you in with a smile and you take a seat next to him near a crackling fireplace.

The Last(fm) Revolution

15.02.2009

The music revolution is here and it can be found at Last.fm.

Having used the Last.fm website before we were not fully aware of its awesomeness and amazing power until nightowl serendipitously found a page already made for The X-Structure on the website. He then went about uploading all our albums and updating the information. From the start we already had a few listeners of Westcoast Trip and had been connected to the Good Netlabels group by someone. We now had a base to work from.

The real really great thing about Last.fm is that it keeps track of the user's listening habits and links up similar users and artists with each other. A plugin can be downloaded which connects your personal music player to Last.fm, enabling the system to track the music as you listen to it on your computer/ipod. This is awesome for us because we now have a direct connection with our listeners and can more easily hook up with them and other similar artists.

But enough talking, check out The X-Structure on Last.fm and hear for yourself.

New album on the way

30.01.2009

We are currently working on a few different albums from tracks made during 2007 and 2008. The next album to be released, called Cape Epic, will be released somewhere in this coming month of February. We are very excited about this album as it will set a landmark in our musical journey. It is like nothing you've heard before, ok maybe some parts but not like this.

Stay tuned.
